Nashville, Tenn. (September 13, 2022) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today the complete schedule and roster for the team’s 2022 training camp, which will begin with physicals and a team meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 21 with the Predators’ first organized practice set for Friday, Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. CT at Centennial Sportsplex. Dates, times and the roster are subject to change.
Nashville’s training camp is headlined by five preseason games, beginning with a doubleheader at Bridgestone Arena against the Florida Panthers on Sept. 26 (3 p.m. and 7 p.m. CT). The Predators will then face off against Tampa Bay on back-to-back nights, traveling to the Lightning on Sept. 29 and hosting Tampa on Sept. 30. Nashville will then depart for Europe to participate in the 2022 Global Games, taking on SC Bern in Bern, Switzerland on Oct. 3 before opening the regular season in Prague, Czechia against the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 7-8.
All on-ice training camp sessions are open to the public and will be held at Centennial Sportsplex.
Training camp will be attended by 55 players – 47 are under contract with Nashville; six are on American Hockey League contracts with the Milwaukee Admirals and two are participating on a tryout agreement or as an unsigned draft pick. Nashville’s training camp roster will consist of 31 forwards, 18 defensemen and six goaltenders.
