The Mulhouse Scorpions unveiled a new arrival this Saturday to assess in the Magnus League during the 2022/2023 financial year. This is Alex Berardinelli, an opponent from the United States who will celebrate his 27th birthday in July.
According to the press release from the Alsatian club, “this left-hander can be evaluated in the center as well as on the wing, estimated 1m78 for 74 kg, and capable of bringing to his team in all game configurations. Skating speed is one of his strengths . He’s the kind of player who doesn’t give up on the game on the penalty kill, but who can also be formidable on the counter-attack. The 2020/2021 season marked by the Covid was his first among professionals, shared between four teams and two leagues (ECHL and SPHL). He also crossed paths with Tommy Besinger at the Huntsville Havoc. Last season, he was traded at the start of the season by Wichita to Norfolk, playing ten games with this team in the ECHL before seeing his season interrupted by injury.
Well cared for, Alex Berardinelli will therefore discover Europe in Mulhouse, which delights his trainer Kevin Hecquefeuille: “Alex is a center player who has a very good skate. He is very responsible in both directions of the ice, able to play both on the superiority and the numerical disadvantage. We had good feedback on the person so we are very happy to have been able to sign Alex!”
