Alex Berardinelli – Mulhouse Scorpions (Ligue Magnus- France)
We are happy to announce today the signing of Alex Berardinelli !
Alex Berardinelli is a striker from the United States who will celebrate his 27th birthday next July. He is a left-hander who can evolve in the center as well as on the wing, measuring 1m78 for 74 kg, and able to bring to his team in all game configurations. Skating speed is one of his strengths. He’s the kind of player who doesn’t give up on the shorthanded game, but who can also be formidable on the counter-attack in this situation. His many penalty killing goals attest to this…
Originally from Pennsylvania, he studied there before traveling the country, passing through Michigan, Texas and Colorado, among others. In his last year as a junior, at Texas in the NAHL, he was elected to the league’s first all-star team. He obtained a scholarship that year to join the NCAA university circuit. Alex spent four seasons at Colorado College, the last of which as team captain. The 2020/2021 season marked by the Covid was his first among professionals, shared between four teams and two leagues (ECHL and SPHL). He also crossed paths with Tommy Besinger at the Huntsville Havoc. Last season, he was traded at the start of the season by Wichita to Norfolk, playing ten matches with this team in the ECHL before seeing his season interrupted by injury.
Alex is now back in good health and is preparing to discover Europe with the Scorpions. We are delighted to find him under our colors. Welcome to Mulhouse!
“Alex is a center player who has a very good skate. He is very responsible in both directions of the ice, able to play both on the superiority and the numerical disadvantage. We had good feedback on the person so we are very happy to have been able to sign Alex!” –Kevin Hecquefeuille
