Jake Flynn strengthens the defense of the Rittner Buam SkyAlps

Klobenstein, August 1, 2024 – The Rittner Buam SkyAlps have struck on the transfer market and brought the young American Jake Flynn to Klobenstein. The defender comes to the blue-reds from the East Coast Hockey League.

Flynn was born on May 26, 2001 in Weymouth, Massachusetts (USA). The 1.83 meter tall and 82 kilogram right-hander has his strengths in passing and positioning. He took his first steps in ice hockey at the Thayer Academy, a private school near Boston. In 2019, he moved to the University of Connecticut, where he played for five seasons in the NCAA college league and recorded a total of 152 appearances and 45 points (10 goals). Last season, he also made his breakthrough into the East Coast Hockey League, where he played 16 games (3 points) for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

Still early in his career, Flynn is now taking the step across the pond and is joining a European club for the first time with the Rittner Buam SkyAlps. Sports directors Dan Tudin and Alexander Eisath are convinced that they have found a reinforcement for their team in the young American: “Jake Flynn is a young defender who has played in a strong league against strong opponents. We were particularly impressed by his first pass; he will be a great help to us in the build-up play. He can continue to develop his talent with the Rittner Buam. We are looking forward to him!”
