The Toledo Walleye signed rookie goaltender Nick Grabko on Wednesday.
Grabko, who recently completed his college career as a senior at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, has played in one ECHL game this season for the Idaho Steelheads.
Grabko, 25, played five seasons of college hockey for Alaska-Fairbanks and Bentley University. This past season, Grabko appeared in 20 games, posting a 5-11-4 record with a 2.74 goals-against average, a .899 save percentage, and one shutout.

In 76 college games, Grabko had a 24-46-6 record with a 2.99 goals-against average and an .896 save percentage.

Walleye sign college forward Moskal, make no more moves at ECHL trade deadline
A native of Channahon, Ill., Grabko was signed by the Idaho Steelheads on March 8 and released on March 13.
The 6-foot and 187-pound goaltender played four years at Bentley University from 2020-24, appearing in 56 games.
The Walleye made the roster move after goaltender Gage Alexander suffered an injury in Saturday’s game at Kalamazoo. Toledo’s other goaltender, Jan Bednar, is currently up with the Walleye’s American Hockey League affiliate in Grand Rapids.
Grabko is expected to back up Walleye starter Carter Gylander this weekend as Toledo plays three home games. The Walleye host Wheeling on Friday and Saturday before hosting Bloomington on Sunday.
